Gionee Pioneer P1 released for Rs 4999

By Aniruddh on Friday 19th of Apr 2013

It is breathtaking to see the number of Chinese brands making an impact in the Indian market. Last month Gionnee had mad an  impact with the release of the Gionee Dream D1 which was surprisingly clocked marginally higher . In addition to this it also sported a super AMOLED  diplay which was not present in any of its rivals including Karbonn Titanium S5 and  Micromax Canvas A116 HD.

Gionee Pioneer P1

Equipped with a 3.5 inch TF T capacitive 320 x 480 pixels display the Gionee Pioneer P1 does just enough to keep it in contest. The 1GHz Media tek processor does well to power a phone of this price range. One of the huge drawbacks is that it runs an outdated Android OS 2.3.6 Gingerbread. It could have also done better in the camera sector, 1.3 MP is simply not enough. It also sports a 0.3 Mp secondary camera. Another area where this phone lacks is the internal memory being only 512 MB and a RAM of 256MB clearly does not impress.

Gionee Pioneer P1 price

Gionee Pioneer P1 has been released for Rs 4999  and will be available at online retail stores soon. Overall this phone gives nothing out of ordinary at this price. It still proves a valid choice for ones who want to get a very basic phone for 5000 Rs . We would suggest paying a bit more and going for a phone with more features.
