Micromax is one of the leading Indian mobile phone manufacturers.  Its success is reflected by the fact that it is the second largest vendor of handsets in the Indian market with a total of 22% shares to its name.

Micromax has been a lot in news recently. At first, it launched some of its latest flagship Canvas turbo in the market. Then the news of the company signing Hugh Jackman as their brand ambassador for Canvas Turbo smartphone emerged on internet. And now  Micromax is planning to launch its handsets in Russian and Romanian markets as well.

This plan will be initiated from December this year. Micromax has already created a market for itself in other nations and has been launching its devices in markets of Brazil, Afghanistan, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, UAE, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives, Nepal and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The sources have also disclosed that the company is still toying with the idea of launching its smartphones in the European countries too.

As for its Russian market, Micromax has decided on and prepared a couple of its smartphones. It has created a small office for itself in Russia and has lured employees of some of the top rival companies. The company has joined hands with Russia’s largest search engine, Yandex, for applications as well and is looking forward to acquiring a software firm though no other information has been disclosed related to it. According to the co-founder of the company, Rahul Sharma, this step of expansion of markets has been taken to build Micromax as a global hardware brand.
