Samsung Galaxy S Duos Dual Sim 4″ 1Ghz processor Android 4.0 smartphone full specifications and lowest price in India. Samsung Galaxy S Duos buy in India online.

The Samsung Galaxy S Duos was launched by Samsung over a month ago into the Indian market and since then, it’s been selling well. Bearing striking resemblance to the flagship Galaxy S3, the Galaxy S Duos even packs the same Android 4.0 with the new TouchWiz UI. The innards of the phone are fairly standard (hardly living up to the Galaxy S tag to be entirely honest), but what is really being marketed is the dual-sim functionality. The phone does have dual-sim (mini SIM) support with dual active-standby. Let’s have a quick look at what makes the phone.

Chipset: The Samsung Galaxy S Duos packs a 1 GHz processor, but do not be deceived. This processor is hardly as fast as the Cortex A8 in the original Samsung Galaxy S. Packing a Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 MSM7227A chipset, the CPU in this unit is simply a 1 GHz ARM Cortex A5 (low power, performance) complemented by an Adreno 200 enhanced GPU. As you can see, nearly all excitement dies right there. But worry not, the phone does deliver and perform where it has to.

Display: The display is a nice 4″ spread with a WVGA (800×480) resolution. Quite good, and goes well with the device. Dual-Sim phones have been long associated with ultra cheap configurations and lowly QVGA displays. It’s nice to see a relatively higher end smartphone that too from a big brand.

Camera: The Galaxy S Duos packs a 5 MP snapper capable of autofocus. It is aided by an LED flash. Video recording however is limited to VGA @ 30fps only. A front camera (0.3 MP VGA) enables video calling.

Design: The phone bears small resemblance to the Galaxy S3 in terms of design. Call it a mini S3 (pun intended) with dual sim and 1/4th the processing power and half of many other features.

Battery: Average 1500 mAh battery should last just about a day’s usage.

OS: Comes with pre-installed with Android 4.0 ICS, the best part being that Samsung has officially announced that the device will receive the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update. Hurray for the owners of this device (and future buyers).

Samsung Galaxy S Duos Lowest Price in India

The lowest price for the Galaxy S Duos is Rs. 16,599. At that price, we believe there are much better smartphones to get, albeit not dual sim. If you want dual sim and a high end experience alongwith from a big brand, then go for it.
