Apple, after gaining the first spot in the list of world’s most valuable brand, has been constantly working hard to keep offering it customers will new things. After the launch of new iPhones, we heard that it will soon be revealing its new iPads this month. It also initiated a buyback scheme on its devices. Apple has also been successful in making its space in the Indian market.
Up till now, Apple has been keeping its focus on big cities and metros of India only. However, now we have heard reports stating that the company is speculating to widen its presence in the country by focusing on smaller town and cities as well. According to the country head of Apple, Maneesh Dhir, this plan has been developed with an aim to increase sales of iPhones, iPods and iPads in about top fifty two tier as well as three tier Indian towns.
The CEO has stated that they have realized the importance and potential of smaller towns in India as the country is going through a fast and steady growth. Therefore, to keep itself well established in the Indian market, it time for the company to get into smaller cities also. Apple believes that introducing itself in the small towns will play a vital role in its aim to grow by at least 30% annually in the Indian market. Also, Apple products are hugely popular among the youth and rich of the country. Definitely, it will receive a good response in small towns, too.
Apple is planning to set up about 100 exclusive stores under a franchise model. But one of the biggest challenges for the company will be its strict standard for stores. However, we have heard, if the sales reach a desired figure, the company will willing offer about 20% in margins.
