BlackBerry Z10 spotted on online retailer Tradus, priced at Rs.44980

BlackBerry Z10 which is expected to arrive in India (one of the biggest markets for BlackBerry) on Feb 25th, has now appeared on Tradus, which is selling this smartphone through a third party at a price Rs.44980.

Just after it’s release in the UK  (at the end of January), the sales of BB Z10 went past that of any other BlackBerry phone. Later, the CEO of BlackBerry went on to say,”In the UK, we have seen close to three times our best performance ever for the first week of sales for a BlackBerry smartphone.”

The same story continued in BlackBerry’s hometurf Canada where it was released on February 5. But some reports suggest that BlackBerry Z10 estimated sales have gone down as much as 83%, due to it’s ‘slow launch’ strategy and competition with upcoming smartphones.

BlackBerry Z10 is yet to arrive in the smartphone rich US market. It is expected to be available in the US by mid-March. The US market will be a hard market to crack with Blackberry having a tough time competing with the upcoming Galaxy S IV (also expected to be released in mid-March).

One can only watch and wait to see how the BlackBerry Z10 does globally and will BlackBerry be able to stay on its stand.
