EYEVIS – New transparent LCD display

Eyevis has introduced a new display technology which will revolutionize digital signage and will open up a whole new world of possibilities in presenting a product. It is a transparent LCD, available in in 22-inch and 46-inch versions.

EYEVIS-1

With a full color display, Eyevis transparent LCD supports a high transparency rate of 15% , which enables viewing right through the panel like glass and it consumes 90% less electricity compared to a conventional LCD panel that uses a back light unit. The transparent LCD utilizes ambient light (sunlight) which minimizes the need of depending on electricity for power generation. Additionally, the LCD consumes low power (<11 W) in absence of a back-light unit.

This provides new presentation possibilities for museums, shopping malls, show windows, outdoor billboards and showcase events. Corporations and schools can also adopt the panel as an interactive communication device or for telecommunication. It can be used anywhere – you can show a product or exhibit and put some additional information or animation on the LCD. In a unique way, it is possible with these new display types to combine displayed information and graphics with a real object in the background. It can also be installed in doors and windows.

EYEVIS-2

A 22-inch panel has a contrast ratio of 500:1 and a display resolution of 1680×1050. It has a high response time of <5ms and a viewing angle of ± 160° H/V which allows the viewer  to view it from any corner of the room, even if it is mounted at a height. It can be used either in portrait or in landscape format.
