Gionee is a China based smartphone vendor. It is planning to launch its Elife E6 smartphone in the Indian market on 3rd of October this year. The company will be going up against the likes of the Micromax and Karbonn in India and will be launching its flagship device in the country.
The dimensions of this smartphone are 142.50 x 69.40 x 6.18 mm and it weighs about 128 grams. It has unibody design. The Gionee E6 comes with a capacitive touch display of 5 inches. It offers a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a pixel density of 441 ppi. It works on an ARM Cortex A7 quad core processor of 1.5 Giga Hertz. It functions on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean version.
This smartphone has been loaded with a powerful camera of 13 mega pixels at its rear that enabled you to record full HD videos. It also carries a 5 mega pixels front facing camera for video conferencing. This device features a RAM of 2 GB and internal memory of 32 GB. It does not offer micro SD card slot. The connectivity options provided by Gionee E6 include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, micro USB, GPS and 3G.
It features a 3.5 mm audio jack, micro USB charging option, gesture control, proximity sensor, magnetometer, accelerometer, compass, ambient light sensors and gyroscope. This smartphone will be available in white and black color variants. Gionee E6 runs on a non removable battery of 2,020 mAh.
Our Take: Gionee E6 smartphone has been manufactured to cater the needs of mid and high device users. It has a good processor and a brilliant camera. It provides ample memory and good battery backup. The Gionee E6 is likely to become very popular in the smartphone market. It will be offering good competition to the smartphone manufactured by native vendors, such as Micromax and the likes.
Update: Gionee Elife E6 spotted on online retailer Snapdeal, before it’s official launch. The phone is priced at Rs.22165.
