Gionee will soon bring out the successor of its phablet GPad G2, which was launched earlier this year. The upcoming device is named as GPad G3. The news, along with the images of the new device was recently shared on the official facebook page of the company. There have been many rumours about the specifications. The company has not made any clarifications about this.
Hence, here we have for you the most probable specifications of the phablet – 13.9-cm (5.5-inch) (854 × 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor with PowerVR SGX544 GPU, Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean), Dual SIM (GSM + GSM) with Dual Standby, 5 MP auto focus camera with LED Flash, 0.3MP (VGA) front-facing camera for self portrait and video chats, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS connectivity options along with Wi-Fi hotspot (to enable users to enjoy internet on multiple devices with one connection), 9.6mm thick body, 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio, 1GB RAM, 4GB internal memory, expandable memory up to 32GB via microSD card, 2250 mAh battery for giving more than 300 hours of standby time The picture about the device is still hazy as the company has not given its version of the specifications, price or the launch date. One of the predictions is that the device may come up before the launch of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3 launch in September this year and will be priced around Rs 12,000. Its screen is slightly larger than its predecessor. However, if the speculations are to be believed, the primary camera is downgraded (5 MP) as compared to 8 MP already available in its predecessor G2. This seems slightly unlikely. Let us see how close the real device is as compared to these speculations.
