HTC representatives on facebook have confirmed that the latest HTC Sense 5 UI will be coming to select existing models as part of a software update. The timing of the update is as of yet unknown. The models which can be expected to get the update include variants of the One X, One X+, One S, and HTC Butterfly. Not all of the features are expected to arrive on the existing models, most of them will be scrapped due to hardware limitations. The Sense 5 UI was launched along with the HTC One, which also includes a new kind of “Ultrapixel” camera, and the features that go along with it might not be feasible on the existing models.

HTC will be offering upgrades to some of its existing devices in the next few months, including global variants of HTC One X, One X+, One S and the HTC Butterfly. Also, note that some features enabled by the new HTC One hardware will not be available in the software updates.

The HTC One will be available across the world from March. No word on when the phone will launch in India and what its price would be.
