Indian manufacturers Karbonn and Micromax launched there many potential smartphones and tablets with a reasonable price tag. Here we are going to compare Karbonn Smart Tab 8 Velox and Micromax Funbook Talk, two 7k range tablets.

Karbonn Smart Tab 8 Velox which was released few days back comes with a price tag of Rs.7025 and Micromax Funbook Talk which was launched back in October is available for Rs.7249.

OS: Smart Tab 8 Velox runs on Android 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean) while Micromax Funbook Talk is powered by Android 4.0 (ICS), so in terms of OS, Smart Tab 8 Velox outplays Micromax Funbook Talk.

Processor & GPU: A combo of Dual Core 1.5 GHz Processor and Dual Core GPU powers Smart Tab 8 Velox, Micromax Funbook Talk is powered by a 1 GHz processor and Dual Mali-400 GPU. So with dual-core processor, the performance of Smart Tab 8 Velox is faster than the Micromax Funbook Talk.

Display: Smart Tab 8 Velox includes a 8-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with 1024 x 768 pixels resolution while Micromax Funbook Talk sports a 7-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen running 800 x 480 pixels. With 1-inch bigger display Smart Tab 8 Velox defeats Micromax Funbook Talk.

Camera: Smart Tab 8 Velox comes with a 2 MP rear camera and a VGA front camera while Micromax Funbook Talk includes just a VGA front camera.

Voice-calling: Micromax Funbook Talk supports SIM slot for voice-calling while Smart Tab 8 Velox doesn’t include a voice-calling feature.

Memory: Micromax Funbook Talk comes with 4 GB in-built memory while Smart Tab 8 Velox comes with 1.51 GB in-bult memory. Both this tablets support external memory through MicroSD upto 32 GB. A 1 GB of RAM supports Smart Tab 8 Velox while Micromax Funbook Talk is powered by a 512 MB of RAM.
