Xolo has officially announced it’s new phone, the Q1000S, and is all set for an India launch. The specifications of the device were known earlier, and now it is finally entering the Indian market. One stand out feature of the device is it’s thickness, which is the second-lowest currently available at 6.98mm, next to the Huawei Ascend P6′s 6.2mm. It also boasts impressive hardware and features.
The Lava Xolo Q1000S comes with a 5-inch 720p IPS display, with a 1280×720 resolution. It also incorporates OGS technology into the display, which Xolo claims makes the screen more vibrant, and touch more responsive. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek processor, clocking in at 1.5 GHz, with 1 GB of RAM, and 16 GB of internal storage. The camera’s on the device are a 13 MP rear camera, and a 5 MP front camera. The rear camera can capture 1080p videos, and is rumored to have scene detection & tuning, low light enhancement, panorama, and a 99 shot burst mode.
The Xolo Q1000s will run on Android 4.2 out-of-the-box, and packs a 2,500 mAh battery, which can give upto 22 hours of 2G and 12 hours of 3G talk time, and 425 on 2G, 325 hours on 3G standby, as claimed by Xolo. The phone comes with Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, GPS.
Don’t forget the stunning 6.98mm thickness, and the possibly amazing build quality in this unique package. The Phone will be priced at 18,999 INR, and is likely to enter stores in a few weeks.
The Indian phone maker is working hard to re-capture the market from the hands of the big-names like Samsung, to more focused products in the same high-spec lowered price range like Micromax.
