Sony’s Xperia Z and ZL seem to be craving for more attention with an official CES announcement coming in a few days. The smartphones codenamed Yuga and Odin were officially confirmed with leaked images from Sony a few days ago, and are all set to go official at the CES next week. The leaks haven’t stopped coming in and we now have new images and information detailing the frame and the camera used in the Xperia Z .

The images are pulled from a leaked promotional video and show off the Xperia Z’s skeleton frame, at least that’s what Sony is calling it. The body is apparently constructed utilising a loose lattice onto which component panels are attached. The new frame construction makes the Xperia Z dust and water resistant apart from making it sturdy.

Also detailed is the new Exmor RS image sensor and lens package, which looks like an exclusive for the Xperia Z as of new. The new camera module is expected to deliver great low-light performance and rich video quality, thanks to the ability to record even moving images in HDR mode.

For those who’ve not kept up with the leaks so far, the Xperia Z will sport a 5-inch 1080p display, run on a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro SoC, have 2GB of RAM, and an all new 13MP camera module.
