In an official statement, Samsung and LG declared that they will soon launch their respective flagship smartphones with a curved flexible display. Just a few days back, Samsung announced its Galaxy Round. And now pictures of LG’s G Flex smartphone with a similar curved display have surfaced on internet.
Though the images does not show the smartphone turned on, however, they have confirmed the rumors of an OLED IPS LCD touch screen of 6 inches. Also, unlike left to right curved Galaxy Round, LG G Flex comes with a top to bottom curved display. Furthermore, G Flex has a bigger display as compared to Galaxy Round. G Flex is likely to come with unique features that will enable you to customer menu and home buttons and is expected to have physical buttons at the back, like LG G2.
If the rumors are true, then LG is planning to launch its G Flex curved smartphone in November this year, maybe shortly after Google Nexus 5 enters the market. However information regarding the pricing, availability of the device and details of its specifications and features are still being kept under the wraps by the company. But we are expecting more information to appear soon.We will have to wait and see how the software UI will evolve with the changed form factor.
