LG is planning on bringing home the bacon this year with many high – resolution line-ups at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). There were rumours floating around the release of a possibly – named Optimus G2 Phablet, directly competing against Samsung’s Galaxy Note, last month. According to GSMArena, the Optimus G2 might be launched at this year’s CES. It will be up against DROID DNA by HTC, Galaxy Note and Sony’s yet-to-be released Xperia Z. It is not to be released till Q3 of 2013.
Specs include a 2.0 /2.4GHz Krait chip-set, Adreno 320 GPU, pixel density of 403 pixels-per-inch, at least of 2GB RAM, 13-MP camera and 3rd gen LTE radio. According to GSMArena, it might come with Qualcomm’s MSM8974 Chi

The highlight of Optimus G2 features is the 5.5” full-HD 1920 x 1080 IPS+ display. As of now, not many show off a full-HD display. DROID DNA, launched in October, 2012, was the first to feature a full-HD display. Upcoming HTC’s M7 and Samsung’s Galaxy S IV are reported to feature full-HD display. Whether it will feature the yet to – be released Android 5.0 – Key Lime Pie – or sport the present version has not been determined.
LG is also rumoured to launch a 7” tab with a 1920 x 1200 resolution at CES, 2013. CES will take place in Las Vegas from January 8th to 11th.
