After selling out its majority stake, planning to move out of the consumer business to enhance focus on enterprise business, opening its elite BBM messenger service for the third party i.e., Android and iOS, here comes the next desperate move from the Canadian handset maker Research in Motion. The company may soon bring out a low cost handset to gain some share in the mass segment.
According to some leak dossiers, this BB10 platform based phone is named-KOPI and may look very much similar to BB Q5 and BB Q10 with trimming down some features and cost and maintaining its old looks. Hence, you will find a qwerty keyboard along with touch screen for smooth flipping between windows and typing a mail. The leaked screenshots of the phone shows model number to be SQC100-1 and the name KOPINA on the set.
With bare minimum changes in the product, the cost is expected to be on the lower side. You can safely assume that it will be available for under 10k bracket. This new unannounced phone will have a processing system of 10.21 and BB10 version along with an addition of removable battery and a faster chipset. No detail is available about the display of the phone under discussion but we can safely presume it to be similar to the old version of BB 10 and BBQ5 (3.1 INCH AND 720 AND 720 pixel resolution.) leaving no additional cost gathered.
With all these information, we can look this phone as a more budget friendly as compared to its existing sibling existing Q5.Hopefully this new change in the range of the blackberry products will help the company to reach out to more people. If these last few attempts do not go well for the company, their shop in the consumer market will be shut pretty soon.
