The upcoming flagship device from Nokia, the Lumia 1520 is following the footsteps of the iPhone 5S: of being one of the worst kept secrets. The smartphone has been leaked on a number of occasions and the most recent leak has showcased a unique capability of the smartphone. The latest leak regarding the smartphone showcases its Settings menu where its Camera settings have been revealed.
It shows that the Lumia 1520 will come with this uncanny ability to click pictures in 16MP and 5MP resolutions at the same point of time. It will use the oversampling technique used by Nokia that first made its way on to the Nokia Pureview 808. It will click a full 16MP pictures and you can make 100 percent crops from it. Additionally, you can use an oversampled 5MP picture if you intend on using the entire picture.
The smartphone saves a picture in full resolution as well as in an oversampled format. The latter is the one is in more detail. What it does is that it keeps the size of the image around 1.5-2MB, allowing you to share it faster. At the same time, it makes the picture just perfect to be printed on an A3 sized sheet of paper.
The Lumia 1520 will be the first phablet from the Finnish manufacturer as it will break the 5 inch screen size barrier for the first time. It will come with a 6 inch screen which will have a full HD resolution. Under the hood will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor which in all probability will be clocked at 1.9GHz. The camera unit is expected to be a 20MP one.
It will get a 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage space which will be available for expansion with the help of memory card. It will follow a unibody design like the Lumia 920, 925 and 1020. It will run on the Windows GPDR3 update. Cameras have been one of the strongest points of Nokia devices and the next flagship is all set to raise the bar.
