Microsoft Surface Pro release date nears, new teasers emerge
The release deadline for the Microsoft Surface Pro is nearing and we’ve been encountering new teasers for the same. Microsoft is gearing up for the launch of the Surface Pro. Although no definite date has been announced yet, tweets like “On my way to the factory to check out #Surface Pro coming off the line…arriving in the coming weeks,” from Parlos Panay, General Manager of the Surface tablets indicate that release date is close, perhaps next week.
The 90 day deadline started off on 26th October, 2012 when Microsoft released the Surface Tablet and stated that the Surface Pro will go on sale after approximately 90 days after the release of Surface. Unlike the Surface, the Surface Pro will be powered by an Intel processor and will use Windows 8 Pro instead of Windows RT.
The Surface Pro is priced at at $899 with 64GB of storage space, and $999 for 128GB with the Touch Cover and Touch Type accessories sold separately.
Microsoft plans to sell the Surface Pro online and through various popular chain stores and retail outlets. There is no information regarding it’s launch in India right now but we’ll keep you guys posted on the pricing and release dates when they are cited.
