New 6-inch phablet MTV Volt to retail at Rs.12,999
In a new partnership, MTV has joined hands with SWIPE to bring out the MTV Volt phablet in India. The phablet has specifications that are at par with the current market trend – Android Jelly Bean (v4.1), dual-core 1GHz processor, Dual SIM (both GSM) with dual standby and a large 6-inch capacitive touchscreen at 854X480 pixels resolution. Connectivity options include 3G, WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0. The device will soon be available at a number of outlets across India, on the SWIPE e-store and with all major online retailers. The MTV Volt adds to the numbers in the nascent 6″ phablet segment, joining devices like the Byond Phablet PIII and Karbonn A30. A tie-up with MTV would logically lead to a TV app which has taken shape in the form of a TV-player with access to MTV content and an FM app.
