Panasonic is a very trusted name in the Japanese market of technology and mobile gadgets. It has been coming up with a wide range of immensely useful and highly functional devices. Panasonic devices offer an array of features, services and applications that make it immensely popular among consumers. In the year 2005, the company has withdrawn its mobile phone business from other markets abroad. However, it reentered in a big manner in the year 2012 by launching many new devices. However, it was in the year 2013 that it came into the mobile phone marker of India.
Panasonic has ventured into the market of smartphones earlier this year with its smartphone P51 and a few days back it also launched three budget smartphones named T11, T21 and P11. It has now decided to launch sub mobiles, i.e. features phones, in the Indian market. These mobile phones will be launched at a price below Rs. 5,000. Though the exact launch date has not been revealed, these sub mobiles are likely to be launched in the month of November, 2013.
By launching new sub mobiles, Panasonic is aiming to achieve 8% of the Indian market share in its first year. Also, with well devised sub mobiles, the company will be able to reach out to the larger segment of the Indian consumers. Manish Sharma, Managing director Panasonic India, stated that the company is acknowledges and appreciates the tremendous potential in the smartphone market of India. It is, hence, willing to invest more and widen its portfolio.
Sharma further reported that the mobile phones by Panasonic are devised for the younger generation who are always looking for devices that are savvier, better and faster. The sub phones launched by Panasonic offer exactly the same to the customers. Consumers are definitely going to be happy.
