Acer to launch a 7-inch Jelly Bean tablet Iconia B1 for Rs.7999


Last week Wall Street Journal reported the launch of Acer Iconia B1 for $99 in the early 2013, now according to NDTV Gadgets this device is coming to India with a price tag of Rs.7999.

This runs on Jelly Bean and packs a dual-core processor. This tablet with the brand tag of Acer can be a tough competitor for many Indian budget tablets like Karbonn smart tab 8 velox which were released recently.

Getting into the specifications, this tablet is supported by Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) along with 1.2GHz dual-core processor and 512MB RAM. The 7-inch display of this tablet runs on 1024 x 600 pixels resolution. It comes with 8 GB in-built storage and also supports MicroSD upto 32 GB. Connectivity features of this tablet include WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth etc. The actual specifications of this device have to be confirmed yet.

This tablet is expected to be launched at the CES 2013 which will be held between January 8 and 11, 2013.
