Further extending the budget ranged Campus series, mobile handset maker Celkon has come up with its latest smartphone, Campus A20. Just the last week, the company had come up with its Campus A 63 with very similar features except it did not have option for 3G connectivity.
The 1.2 GHz dual core processor powered, 4 inch WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) capacitive touch screen display equipped phone. The resolution may be appear to be less on paper but in real world, it looks just fine on the smartphone. However, the sunlight legibility can be a bit of an issue. But then you can’t get everything at this price point. It runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system which is the latest flavour of Android and puts a strong case in its favour.
To complete the device as a smartphone, it has a 3.2 megapixel rear camera along with 0.3 megapixel front facing camera for video chat, dual sim support (3G on one sim and 2 G running on the other sim). The LED flash option will keep the night pictures glowing with life. The phone has connectivity options through Wi-Fi, bluetooth, 3G, 2 G and GPS. Hence, it is assured that you can stay connected all the time. Its 1500 mAh battery keeps it ignited for about 5 hours on talk.
It has 256 MB of RAM, 512 MB of internal memory and a micro SD card slot for memory expansion upto 32 GB. The Celkon Campus A20 is available for an MRP of Rs 5,299. It comes with a free back cover to elongate the hardware life.
There are not many differentiating factors about the device but then it presents one more option for the budget buyers who are looking for utility and price rather than differentiation. Moreover, with all its launches in the recent weeks, Celkon is on its way to complete its smartphone portfolio, offering choices to everyone.
