Micromax Funbook Infinity Pro for Rs 6,699.
Micromax has added another tablet to its budget Funbook series. Funbook Infinity priced at Rs 6,699 is the fourth device after Funbook, Funbook Pro and Funbook Alpha. This like its predecessors also runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The tab features a 7-inch display at a resolution of 800 x 400 and is powered by a 1.2Ghz Cortex A8 processor, the same one as in Apple A4 SoC that was introduced in the iPad, supplemented by Mali 400 dual GPU and 512 MB physical memory.
For the purpose of video calling it has a 0.3MP front facing and a 2MP back facing camera as well. Needless to say, 3G(dongle) and Wi-Fi connectivity are also supported. Storage wise it isn’t much of a surprise considering the price you pay for it. The internal storage is of 4GB but is expandable to 32 GB. The screen is capacitive with pinch zoom capability. Plethora of apps and games are just a touch away with the pre-enabled Google Play access.
Coming to the battery, the 4000mAh battery is claimed to last for more than 6 hours and a standby time of approximately 260 hours. To serve your file sharing needs with your PC, a USB port has also been incorporated into the device. It is also equipped with dual speakers at the front. Utilising the ARMv7 processor’s flash support, Adobe Flash Player is preinstalled in the product. Micromax continued the inclusion of educational content in their tablets. Tata Mcgraw Hill, Everonn, Pearson and Vriti are to be credited for that. Micromax has also partnered with BigFlix, Zenga, Hangama and IndiaGames ensuring adequate entertainment and gaming in case the Play store doesn’t suffice you. Akshay Kumar’s two Bollywood flicks Tees Maar Khan and Rowdy Rathore are also included
As with any Micromax product, price is the game changer. With a new release nearly every month, Micromax is well on course to consolidate their position in the low budget market.
