Nokia launched the much awaited mid-end Windows Phone 8 Lumia 620 in India at a press conference in New Delhi. The phone is going to retail somewhere around the month of February, but no pricing details have been divulged as of yet. The phone was launched along with Lumia 920 and Lumia 820. Nokia unveiled the Lumia 620 at the Le Web Conference in Paris last month, and it was the first in line of affordable Windows Phone 8 devices from Nokia. The phone was revealed by Marko Ahtisaari, the principal design head of Nokia, and comes with dual coloured polycarbonate shells.
The Lumia 620 sports a 3.8-inch WVGA 800×480 TFT display with ClearBlack Display technology. The back cover is available in seven colours and is exchangeable just like the Lumia 820. It is powered by a Snapdragon S4+ MSM8227/8627 with Adreno 305 GPU and 512 MB of RAM, and runs on Windows Phone 8. On the rear is a 5MP auto-focus camera with 720P video recording capability. The mass memory includes 8GB of internal storage and is expandable with a microSD card slot. The phone supports NFC, 3G and Bluetooth with file transfer.
The Nokia Lumia 620 will come in magenta, yellow, cyan, white and black colours. The phone will launch in February (no exact dates as of yet) and no pricing details have been made public as of yet, but Nokia announced that Lumia 620′s price will be announced closer to its market availability. With an expected price of around Rs. 14,000 to 15,000, the Lumia 620 is surely going to be a hot seller in the Indian market.
