Panasonic enlists 16 new LED televisions to its new year lineup
From CES 2013 Las Vegas.
Panasonic at CES 2013 declared its presence at CES 2013 with the addition of whopping 16 new LED televisions to its upcoming releases. All the models feature expanded Viera Connect and a new personalized home screen in four series(WT60, DT60, ET60, and E60).
With Swipe and Share 2.0, sharing your media with your smart phones/tablets is just a swipe away. This is accomplished via their Viera Connect to all Android and iOS devices. This also works the other way around, i.e. from your smartphone to the television. Supported in WT60, DT60, ET60, and E60 series.
The above mentioned lines of televisions also boast of a 1080p resolution along with IPS panels and 3D. IPS (In Plane Switching) panels facilitate wider viewer angles than the standard Twisted Nematic (TD) LCD panels.
Furthermore, WT60 and DT60 respond to voice commands (not to a great extent so as to render complete voice control) and all the 4 series (WT60, DT60, ET60, E60) are aided by a text to voice engine that works as an on screen narrator. The voice commands can be transmitted through a smartphone that has the Viera Remote 2 app installed or alternatively can be directly uttered into the SamrtViera TouchPad Controller.
According to the official Press Release, all the new televisions consume 15% less power owing to the new LCD panels. Backlight Scanning Technology (included in all the 16 televisions) also ensures lifelike clarity and renders fast moving images with minimal blur and loss of detail.
The screen sizes range from 42 inches to 65 inches.
