Samsung launches Galaxy Camera in India for Rs 29,990

The wait is over! Samsung has launched the much awaited Galaxy Camera. This Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) based camera was announced at IFA 2012 in August and few weeks back Samsung began taking pre-orders. Now the device is available with it’s official price tag of Rs. 29,990.

Looking at it’s specifications, this device comes with a 16 MP camera with BSI CMOS sensor, a wide-angle lens (23mm in 35mm equivalent) and 21x optical zoom lens. You can store the media in the cloud automatically and share with other smartphones via Samsung’s Share Shot feature through Wi-Fi Direct.

Coming to the hardware part, the device is powered by a Quad-core Exynos 4412 chipset clocked at 1.4 GHz. The camera is 19.1 mm thick and weighs about 300g. It comes with a 1650mAh battery with 280 hours of standby. This camera comes with a 4.8-Inch Super Clear LCD capacitive touchscreen running on 1280 x 720 pixels of resolution

This camera has many connectivity features like 3G, WiFi, A-GPS and GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI 1.4, SIM card slot etc.,

It comes with 8 GB internal storage capacity and a MicroSD slot which supports upto 64 GB and runs on 1 GB of RAM.

Othe features of camera include:  Slow Motion Video, Voice control, Photo Wizard, Movie Wizard, SMART Content Manager etc.,
