Samsung launches REX series of feature phones in India, priced from Rs. 4,280 to Rs. 6,490
Samsung has launched its REX series of feature phones in India. These dual-SIM java-based phones include: REX 60, REX 70, REX 80 and REX 90. Samsung is marketing these as “Smart” feature phones. These phones are locally developed in India and they would be targeted towards several developing markets globally, starting from India. Some of the features of these phones include: TouchWiz interface with 8 homescreens, Bluetooth and some of these also include WiFi support.
The active Smart Dual SIM feature in these phones would let you receive calls from one SIM even when the other SIM is in use. The REX 70 and REX 90 come with True Hot Swap feature that would let users swap SIM cards without switching the device off. The phones are targeted towards Nokia’s Asha dual-SIM phones, which come with a similar feature called Easy Swap Dual SIM and are the hottest selling devices in the low-end spectrum of the market.
All the phones come pre-loaded with apps such as Opera Mini browser, ChatON cross-platform messaging app, Facebook and Twitter apps, Active Sync Push Mail with Contact & Calender Sync.

The feature phones are priced between Rs. 4,280 and Rs. 6,490 in the Indian market. Tata Docomo is offering double data usage to consumers on normal data recharges until August 31st 2013.
