WickedLeak launches Wammy Magnus: Quad-core Jelly Bean tablet, Rs. 15,499
WickedLeak has launched a new quad-core Android tablet dubbed Wammy Magnus. The tablet runs on the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, which can be upgraded to Android 4.2. The tablet is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, a 8 core SGX544 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The Wammy Magnus comes loaded with 16GB of internal memory and is expandable up to 32GB via an external microSD card. The 10.1-inch HD display sports an IPS panel with a resolution of 1200×800. Video decoding up to 4k resolution (Ultra HD 4096 x 2160) is supported.
Basic hardware specs aside, the Wammy Magnus sports a 0.3MP front camera and a 2MP rear camera with auto focus. Video recording is done at 720p resolution. Connectivity features include WiFi, external 3G, Mini USB port , Mini HDMI and a microSD card slot. No word on Bluetooth connectivity in the specs sheet. The device is just 8mm thick and is fueled by a 8,000 mAh battery that is rated to provide up to 6-7 hours of battery life.
Supported video formats include AVI/RM/RMVB/MKV/WMV/MOV/MP4/DAT(VCD format) / VOB(DVD format)/PMP/MPEG/MPG/FLV/ASF/TS/TP/3GP/MPG and supported audio formats include MP3/FLAC/APE/WAV.
WickedLeak has priced the Wammy Magnus tablet at Rs 15,499 in India. The tablet can be ordered from the official WickedLeak website and the device will be up for pre-order from February 10, 2013 and the shipping will start commencing on February 23, 2013.
WickedLeak had previously launched two tablets in October – a 7-inch tablet called Wammy Desire and a 9.7-inch one called Wammy Athena – both were priced at Rs 6,499 and Rs 13,999 respectively.
