Rumormill : All on iPhone 5, Apple’s Media Event on Sept 12

Apple’s products always have a lot of rumors/attention from people before their launch. And, no release could have garnered more attention than that of the iPhone 5. Rumor has it that Apple is about to change the dock connector. While it was earlier reported to be 19-pin and later 16-pin, now it is being said as an 8-pin connector.

This is a picture that is doing the rounds on the internet. The right side of the pic shows the new iPhone Doc Connector and left shows the old connector with 30-pins. Now, take this news with a pinch of salt (as usual). Rumors have been doing the rounds since last August, when claims of a new design started cropping up. But, things were different back then, and this time around Apple is sure to change the iconic design of the iPhone.

You may be wondering about the fate of old Docks/Connectors we have. Well, there is nothing we know about it as of now, but to wait for Apple to talk about it.
Another rumor is that, Apple is looking to add a new feature to iOS 6 that enables cross-device integration over Bluetooth 4. That means, we can connect devices with each other so as to push messages/updates, emails, initiate calls from any Bluetooth 4 compatible device, like iPod Nano, the upcoming iPod Touch etc. This sure is a great feature that will be welcomed by all.

The Previous Rumors Regarding iPhone 5 were that it would house a 4.1″ 1136×640 pixel Retina display, up from its tiny 3.5″ 960×640 pixel display. That would make it a 16:9 display as opposed to the 4:3 that Apple has been using till now in its iOS devices. The screen upgrades are really the most-needed ones, as 3.5″ has become small by today’s standards(When we see humongous 5.3″ Displays /4.7″ Displays commonly). Also, the screen is thinner than before, making the phone a tad slim.

It is also rumored that there would be an increase in processing power. A Quad Core processor is supposedly in consideration, along with a 1GB RAM. This surely sets a new standard among iOS Devices, known for their fluidity at low processing speeds while offering Higher Quality apps and Games at the same time.

Also, the back panel is rumored to be made up of Aluminium instead of Glass(that iPhones usually carry).

Well, we cannot say if all of these are true. Not yet. We must wait till September 12th, when Apple has all but confirmed about staging a Media Event. iPhone 5 will launch, supposedly, on Sept 21st. Now, we would not believe it without proof right? Well, many other sources  like AllThingsD, New York Times, BllomBerg, Reuters, MacRumors , The Verge to name a few, have also confirmed the same date. This may not be enough, but something is better than nothing, right?

More rumors to follow soon!
