Nokia, the Finland based company that has earned huge reputation for making some of the premium mobile phones and Smartphones. It is now widening its range of devices. After a number of rumors, the alleged photographs of the original Windows Phone phablet, the Bandit, by Nokia have now surfaced. The Bandit, also popular by the name Nokia Lumia 1520, was first spotted in the photographs leaked by Windows Phone Central.
With this new gadget, Nokia, is likely to set its feet in the segment of Windows Phone phablet. The Bandit, also known as, Lumia 1520 is expected to enter the market on 26th of September this year. By the same time, Nokia may also be introducing its Windows 8 RT tablet that has been named Sirius.
In the leaked photographs the phablet has been placed aside the Nokia Lumia 1020 which provides the onlookers a comparison between the sizes of the two devices. The photos reveal that the Bandit will have a polycarbonate plastic based design like other devices of Lumia segment. It comes with a huge touch display of 6 inches and 1080p resolution. One more thing that you can see from the photographs is that the home screen of Lumia 1520 will have 3 columns with a tile twice wide placed aside a medium sized tile.
However, these photographs of Nokia Lumia 1520 only exposed the front of this device. Therefore, the rumors of this phablet carrying a 20 mega pixel PureView rear camera has not been put to rest yet. The Bandit is likely to work on a Snapdragon quad core processor that will ascertain smooth and fast performance. This device will function on Windows Phone 8.1 with GDR3. By looks and features, the Bandit seems to be a promising device.
