HTC has been all over the news, and the internet rumor space recently. With the release of the HTC One, the One mini, the many rumors about the One Max, and the RDJ viral marketing campaign, HTC has managed to stay on top our news feeds for a while. New information tells us the company is also working on the HTC Zara, a mid-range smartphone
A specs and picture leak posted by the well-known Twitter handle, @evleaks has given the internet much to feast on. The device shows a build style very similar to the HTC One family, but bearing a plastic body rather than metal, much like HTC’s non-flagship Desire series.
The HTC Zara is expected to come equipped with a 4.5-inch qHD display with a 960×540 px resolution. It comes with a 8 MP camera, we are uncertain whether this will feature HTC’s UltraPixel camera design. The phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8930 processor, clocked in at 1.2 GHz, with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage, expandable by microSD card to 32 GB.
The device will also come with the rich sounding Beats Audio, a long standing and productive partnership for the company. It will run on Android 4.3 Jelly bean, with HTC’s Sense 5.5 UI, the latest version on top, which is pleasant surprise given that even the HTC One will run on Sense 5. The device is lined up for a Q4 release.
HTC is pulling out all the stops in it’s race to be the best Android OEM, and the top-guy smartphone maker. Building quality phones for all price ranges makes it a versatile and powerful competitor to the current market leaders. We will bring you more information about the Zara as it surfaces. Until then, don’t Panic.
