When it comes to the richest smartphone maker in the world, speculations and spy acts can never leave behind. Recently, a Romanian online publication Mobilissimo.ro published some so called shots of Apple’s highly anticipated, speculated and betted iPhone 5C. Although the device has not yet been officially confirmed by the company, many believe that this low cost may replace Apple’s Phone 5 and may be launched along with the next flagship phone iPhone 5S on September 20 this year.
A close look at the pictures depicts the device running Apple’s iOS 7 operating system. In yet another set of pictures, the dummy of the device was see, wrapped in a bumper case. It could be to create the introductory buzz in the retail shops just before the arrival of the real phone.
According to the rumours and guesswork, the phone will be available in many shades including white, red, yellow, green, blue and pink.
However, the biggest factor which makes this speculation unconvincing is that it is believed that the device will come in plastic body. It is quite unlike Apple to bring out plastic bodied phones. Moreover, Apple has established itself as a high end, premium handset producer. Hence, this change of positioning as affordable handset producer does not look imminent.
One of the former senior executive from Apple has called this handset totally unviable for the company.
Whether Apple has any plans to produce a low cost smartphone (cheaper iPhone) or these pictures are fake, will be cleared in less than a month from now on. However, many believe that it may not be a bad idea to come up with something on these lines if the company is already not planning anything as such. As always, keep your fingers crossed for the next launch from Apple.
