Sony rolls out Jelly Bean update for Xperia T


Sony has finally rolled out an OS upgrade for It’s Xperia T smartphone which was announced in August from Android ICS to Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean), a week after announcing an alpha version to this smartphone. Interestingly this smartphone yesterday got certified on PTCRB (a wireless device certification forum) website.

This update carries 9.1.A.0.489 version number with it and runs on the 3.4.0 kernel and is currently available in Netherlands region, expected to be soon available in the rest of the world.

Coming to it’s specs this phone features a scratch-resistant 4.55-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display with Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine. It is powered by a dual-core Qualcomm MSM8260A Snapdragon chipset clocked at 1.5 GHz and a 1 GB of RAM. It includes a 13 MP camera with autofocus and LED flash at the back and supports connectivity features like 3G, WiFi, NFC, Bluetooth and Micro USB 2.0 (MHL).
