Sony’s new low budget smartphone entry, the Sony Xperia M, is up for preorder on flipkart. Not to mention, it is already available from online retailer store Saholic. Hardware specifications look similar to that of a Nokia Lumia device in the same price range.
The Sony Xperia M is a rather good looking device for it’s price tag. The build does not look cheap at all, in spite of being made of plastic. It does inherit the classy aluminium power button from it’s predecessors. With a 4.0 inch (800 x 480) display, the Sony Xperia M is averagely sized, as per recent trends. The device gets all its beef from its 1 GHz Dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8227 processor and an Adreno 320 GPU. The device runs Android 4.1 JellyBean. Decently equipped in the camera sector as well, the Sony Xperia M has a 5 MP primary camera with LED flash and 720p video recording, and a 0.3 MP front facing camera. The notification LED light at the bottom blinks in various colors for notifications. To sum up the package, it has 1 GB of RAM, 4 GB of internal memory, and microSD up to 32 GB. Conectivity is plenty, thanks to WiFi, Bluetooth 3G and NFC.
