Spice Stellar Craze Mi-355: Rs. 6,599 of value

A few months back, Spice had launched the Spice Stellar Mi-425. This budget dual-sim Android took everyone by surprise for it’s surprisingly good build quality as well as an attractive price tag. Priced at just Rs. 9,200 Spice Mi-425 along with the Karbonn A9 quickly became a budget Indian smartphone buyer’s perfect handset. Spice also has another device waiting on the wings to launch, namely the Spice Stellar Horizon Mi-500. This is the 5″ phablet that we wrote about a few weeks ago. The Spice Mi-500 is hotly anticipated for it’s huge 5″ display, and dual-core Snapdragon processor accompanying it along with a 300 MHz GPU, all in a package costing Rs. 11,999 only.

This month, Spice is launching another handset in the Stellar series namely the Spice Stellar Craze, a.k.a the Spice Mi-355. This aims to be the cheapest handset in the Stellar range of smartphones running Android. But do not go for the word “cheapest” as the specifications say completely otherwise. Have a look at Spice Stellar Craze Mi-355′s Full Specifications.

The phone not only has a 5 MP rear camera of the auto-focus make but also features dual-LED flash. That should give way for pretty well lit photos even during night time and the darkness. A VGA front facing camera is also present, which is a rarity for phones in this price range. Also bundled and pre-installed is the NetQin Anti-Virus software with 6 months validity as well as Vault Privacy App for photos, videos, SMS, call logs etc. in addition to Social Networking apps and IMs. Hopefully it is not all bloat-ware.

The phone runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, which is simply of the pre-historic times now. However, Spice promises an upgrade to Android 4.0 ICS. That the promise shall be kept, only time will tell. However, ICS on this budget handset would pretty much make this the best Android handset, if not the best smartphone to buy under a Rs. 7,000 price range beating the likes of Samsung Galaxy Y, Samsung Galaxy Pocket and HTC Explorer with price and feature set (both hardware and software).

The lowest price of the Spice Mi-355 is currently Rs. 6,599 only. It is available at Saholic’s website for the same. Saholic is also offering Rs. 300 recharge for prepaid users, which is a nice bonus. You can order the phone online with 12 months Manufacturer’s warranty immediately by following the link given below:

The item has free shipping, Cash On Delivery (COD) payment option and comes with a proper bill. Not only that, Saholic states in it’s website that the product ships within 1 business day, so you wouldn’t have to wait much at all to receive your handset.

Needless to say, the Spice Stellar Craze Mi-355 seems to be a fantastic handset at it’s price range. A good phone release by Spice.
