Most of the potential buyers of mobile devices fall intro trap when the smartphone vendors share only a small piece of the picture while discussing its specifications. We often end up making assumptions about a smartphone by just looking at its CPU configuration and clock speeds. What we fail to understand is that there are so many more factors that play a role in the performance of a smartphone. As is in the case of iPhone 5S.
The Apple iPhone 5S has been equipped with an A7 dual core processor clocked at 1.3 Giga Hertz. This device was lined up against quad and octa core processors clocked at more than 2Giga Hertz used by the rival companies. When it was announced that the Apple iPhone 5S has been equipped with a 64bit A7 processor, people believed that the upgrade will hardly make any difference without a RAM of 4GB.
Based on these facts one may believe that the rival companies have an upper hand. Smartphone enthusiasts were wondering weather Apple will be able to catch up or not. However, performance tests have proved it wrong. Anand Lal Shimpi ran a number of tests on the Apple iPhone 5S to track whether this device can stack up against smartphones from Motorola, HTC, LG and Samsung. On the basis of the test, he found that iPhone 5S functions far better than its rivals in every CPU performance test he conducted.
