SunVolt : Your Portable Dynamo

Non-renewable energy sources are getting depleted at an appalling rate. That is when renewable sources are to be capitalized. SunVolt accomplishes just that. It converts available unlimited amount of solar energy to usable electrical energy. According to their page, SunVolt is

“A high powered, portable solar power station that charges all your gadgets directly from the sun with outlet speeds”

So if you’ve got sunlight, you’ve got energy to keep your gadgets up and running. You don’t need an engineering degree to operate this. Just place the panel in the path of sunlight and plug in your devices.

 Why should I use SunVolt?

First and foremost, you’re getting free energy on the move. SunVolt works at any place that receives sunlight. Secondly, you can transform it to an utilizable form. Thirdly, it’s portable to an extent that you can carry it in a shoulder bag. SunVolt comes in two variants – 10W and 15W along with a bag to carry the dynamo with you on the go. The bag is made with high quality stitched Ballistic Nylon that can take all the beating from the panel inside. All your cables, devices and accessories can be packed safely in the front pocket that also features inner compartments. Four anti-slip pads preclude any possible slippage whilst using the device. You can also use it as a shoulder bag with a strap at your convenience. The panel is designed in such a way that you can bend it to a desired angle to capture maximum amount of sunlight. Multiple devices can be fed at once using the inbuilt charging ports.  Exact numbers are described below.

What do I get with SunVolt?

Every purchase of SunVolt comes with :

  • 10W/15W solar panel
  • A carry bag
  • Power Regulation Circuit : This part of the device regulates and outputs the standard voltage for charging your electronic devices. Subject to availability in the future, a different circuit rated at a different voltage can be plugged in to the panel and charge other batteries as well.
  • Charging Ports : The 10W version features two each of USB, Micro USB and one Mini USB ports whereas the 15W version ships with three each of USB, Micro USB and two Mini USB ports.
  • Instruction Card : As I said you don’t need a degree to operate SunVolt. This will do.

What at night?

Excess energy can be used to charge lithium polymer batteries for later use at night or during cloudy spells.

I’m impressed. Where can I order one?

You can go to this page and contribute financially so that SunVolt sees the light of day. If everything goes right, by late October you can expect the dynamo at your doorstep.
